Editorial Manager

 

 

As we gear up to deliver our third edition, the Heywood Quarterly is looking for a full-time Editorial Manager to bring together the current part-time team, which includes marketing, editorial, design, secretariat, and tech functions. This is a varied role reporting to the COO, responsible for a range of activities, including:

 

  • Supporting the Editor-in-Chief in all parts of the editorial process, from conception to commissioning articles, to liaising with authors, making editorial suggestions, and publishing;
  • Preparing engagement with sponsors and tracking progress;
  • Managing the design process, including commissioning, revisions, printing, and distribution;
  • Liaising with marketing on the strategy and comms grid for each edition, as well as ideas on expanding our reach and working with other publications;
  • Owning the project plan for each edition and keeping track of all the workstreams to ensure everyone is working together to delivery;
  • Horizon-scanning and keeping a future focus on the potential of the Quarterly.
